This is a random set of links to things Marty uses and finds useful. You might have seen him on a job with a cool tool or some neat connectors, this may guide you to some of those things.
First up is a new tool: The E2Work Adam 2.8″ SDI monitor. This is a handy device for checking if an SDI cable has a signal and what that signal is. It is way more handy than a Lilliput or Blackmagic Video Assist with a battery.
To keep the little monitor at your side you will want the Ripoffs CO-46EP pouch.
For SDI cable I go to Clark Wire and Cable, their CD7523 is great for tabletop and in rack patch cables. i also use it to make camera harnesses.
Clark Wire is also a good source for bulk Neutrik BNC connectors. The Neutrik NBNC75BDD6X is what you want to go with the 7523. Don’t forget to order colored boots to go with those connectors.
